How To Practice Or Teach Reiki Texas

By Anthony Hughes

When living in Texas, it can often be hard when working as an energy or light worker. However, there are several places where an individual can be come certified in the art of Reiki Texas. Whether in Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin or Houston, there are centers and individuals which provide all levels of training.

When it comes to Dallas, it is one of the rarities in which there are multiple centers, classes and workshops related to Reiki. For example, Healing Today offers a number of workshops and training programs which include all levels of the healing art. As such, most individuals desiring to become teachers or practitioners attend programs at this location.

When having a difficult time deciding on whether to become a teacher, practitioner or become involved with the healing art, there are some teachers which will allow students to sit in on a class or two before making a payment. While this is the case, it is important that these individuals understand that attending in this manner does not certify or license one to practice on any level.

Programs at the center are so popular in the area that a number of health care providers including registered nurses, physical therapists, dietitians and massage therapists often take a number of classes related to this healing art. While many do not become certified or licensed, doing so helps these professionals relate better to clients which may be using a combination of different healing forms.

In most cases, classes and workshops are fun and casual. Unlike traditional medical training which is often rather structured and rigid, these classes can be a nice break for these professionals. In addition, as the Level I class is open to anyone, it can often be interesting to learn the basics in Level I. In Level II, individuals learn the different symbols and positions associated with local and distance healing which applies to practitioners.

For individuals interested in teaching, there are three levels which must be completed. For, while Level I provides an introduction to energy centers, Level II provides instruction related to the various positions and symbols. Whereas, it is Level III where those interested in teaching learn how to practice and teach at the same time. As such, before one can become certified as a Master or teacher, all three levels must be completed in succession.

Group instruction is also offered through Healing Today and other centers. In this type format, individuals attend classes with a group of others. As such, these classes are often more hands-on than one-on-one classes. For, the individuals often have the opportunity to work on one another using a massage tables and chairs.

If interested in attending a Reiki class or workshop, it can often be easy to find a local outlet. In some cases, practitioners may post bulletins on a number of coffee shop or bookstore bulletin boards. In addition, there may be listings in local entertainment guides under classes and workshops. Whereas, those living in rural areas can often do an online search to find the closest Reiki Master, classes or center in the area.
